Wintertime Snowbird Destinations:
Quartzsite, AZ is a well know destination for Snowbirds. In a Mohave Desert setting and only 879 feet above sea level, more than one million folks visit this community each year. The Summer population is around 3430, but swells to a temporary peak of over 250,000 in the Winter.
Quartzsite has been a rock hound's paradise since the 1960's. Thousands of acres of dispersed BLM camping draws upwards to a million visitors a year. Snowbirds enjoy the warm winters while camping in over 70 RV parks and 11,000 acres of BLM Long Term Visitor Area (LTVA), plus five 14-day free dispersed camping areas.
With over a thousand vendors arriving each winter, Quartzsite is also known for its RV and ATV friendly atmosphere. Off Road Vehicle (OHV) trails lead in all directions from town with beautiful desert scenery along the way. Check out The RVerTV Quartzsite videos, to learn MORE.
Quartzsite Sports, Vacation & RV Trade Show
Every January something happens in Quartzsite, AZ that is hard to believe, unless you have seen it! This is one of the best RV shows with a huge number of vendors, RVs for sale and parts and repairs for almost anything.
The highlight of the show is “The Big Tent” where RV-related products are available for purchase. There is the social component with gatherings and events and plenty of choices in new RVs. Furthermore, RVers come from all over to get maintenance and repairs done and outfit their rigs with aftermarket add-ons. Check it out!
There are all sorts of workshops during the Sports, Vacation & RV Show. Learn about RV Parks vs Boondocking, solar, camping tools, ebikes and MORE. As many as 750,000 to 1,000,000 people, mostly in RV’s, will converge for this event.
