Historic Small Town Main Streets

Date: August 19, 2026
Heck Yeah! We made it to Leavenworth, Washington — a full-on Bavarian village tucked right into the Cascade Mountains! Today I'm unloading the Lectric XPeak and exploring this alpine town the best way I know how — on two wheels, one street at a time.

We cruise the downtown streets past old-world Bavarian buildings, timber-framed storefronts, and flower boxes hanging from every balcony. It honestly feels like you rolled out of Washington State and straight into the German Alps! The mountain views surrounding this town are something else — snow-capped peaks in every direction.

Back at camp, we're set up at the Leavenworth KOA right at the edge of town — a beautiful resort along the river. , so I fire up the crockpot for a nice hearty dinner after a full day of exploring.

This is just the beginning, folks — from here we're heading EAST across Washington State, so buckle up for what's coming next on the backroads!
