Remember, consistent and diligent sun protection is key to maintaining healthy skin and preventing sunburn, premature aging, and skin cancer.
Here Are 15 Tips To Keep Yourself Safe From The Sun:
  1. Apply Sunscreen: Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, and apply it generously to all exposed skin.  I really like Sun Bum Moisturizing Sunscreen.  Click here to purchase.

  3. Seek Shade: Stay in the shade, especially during peak sunlight hours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  4. Wear Protective Clothing: Cover up with lightweight, long-sleeved shirts, pants, wide-brimmed hats, and sunglasses.  I wear the Leotruny Super Wide Brim Bucket Hat in the hot/sunny days.  Click here to purchase one.
  5. Use Sunglasses: Wear sunglasses with UV protection to shield your eyes and the surrounding skin from sun damage.  I always wear sunglasses when I am outside.  You can purchase some great sunglasses HERE.
  6. Avoid Tanning Beds: Avoid using tanning beds, as they emit harmful UV radiation that can damage your skin.
  7. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin and body hydrated in the heat.  I drink Berri Fit Hydration. It has electrolytes in it.  Get yours HERE.
  8. Limit Outdoor Time: Minimize sun exposure by scheduling outdoor activities in the early morning or late afternoon.
  9. Use Lip Balm: Apply lip balm with SPF to protect your lips from getting chapped and sunburned.  I really like Burt’s Bees Lip Balm.  You can pick some up HERE.
  10. Protect Scalp and Hair: If you don’t wear a hat, apply sunscreen to your scalp and consider using protective hair products.  I wear the Leotruny Super Wide Brim Bucket Hat in the hot/sunny days.  Click here to purchase one.
  11. Check Medications: Some medications can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun, so check with your doctor or pharmacist.
  12. Be Aware of Reflection: Water, sand, snow, and other surfaces can reflect and intensify the sun’s rays, increasing your risk of sunburn.
  13. Use Umbrellas or Canopies: Set up umbrellas or canopies to create additional shade in outdoor areas.
  14. Apply Sunscreen Early: Apply sunscreen 15-30 minutes before going outside to ensure it’s absorbed into your skin.  I really like Sun Bum Moisturizing Sunscreen.  Click here to purchase.
  15. Protect Children Extra: Children have delicate skin, so take extra precautions like using sunscreen designed for kids, keeping them well-covered, and keeping them in the shade.
