Silver City Michigan

Since I left Wisconsin, I spent some time in Silver City Michigan (Lake of the Clouds).  Very interesting place too.

Silver City Michigan (Lake Of The Clouds) is a great place to explore.  With more of Lake Superior Shoreline near Silver City Michigan.  I hiked the trail along the Lake Of The Clouds Recreation Area.  Epic views and deep forest make this a must-see. There are several RV Parks and Campgrounds, plus a sandy beach for swimming. Even an abandoned copper mine called Carp Lake Mine, full of bats and a rich history of Upper Michigan and Porcupine Mountains.  This place is well worth a trip.

This charming village, with its rich history and natural beauty, offers a tranquil escape for visitors seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. A must-visit attraction is Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, a sprawling expanse of pristine wilderness renowned for its rugged hiking trails, stunning waterfalls, and unparalleled fall foliage. The nearby Lake of the Clouds provides a breathtaking vista that’s particularly enchanting during sunrise or sunset. When it comes to dining options in Silver City, you’ll find a selection of cozy eateries that cater to various tastes. The Northwoods Supper Club is a local favorite, offering classic American fare in a rustic and inviting atmosphere. For a more casual experience, try the bakery mentioned earlier for their mouthwatering pasties.
