Hi Jolly Parade

Hi Jolly Parade

The Hi Jolly Parade is hands-down one of the most unique celebrations you’ll find in the Arizona desert! Every January, the streets of Quartzsite come alive to honor the legacy of Philip Tedro—better known as Hi Jolly—the lead camel driver for the U.S. Army's experimental Camel Corps back in the 1850s. It’s a classic small-town parade with a huge desert twist, featuring everything from decorated floats and vintage vehicles to live camels marching right through town. It’s a wonderful way for the RVer community to gather, celebrate local history, and tip our hats to the "ships of the desert" that once helped blaze the trails we travel today.

I have enjoyed watching your travels on YouTube and the walks you take at the various places you visit. I was a victim of polio in 1953 and am limited on the distance I can walk. Your walking videos have allowed me to see many museums, forts and monuments that I was not able to visit in my travels.Thank you for your excellent videos and the information that you have shared with your viewers.
I really enjoyed your video of Mackinaw city.island ,city and lighthouses.
Michigan does have great State Parks and many miles of lake frontage which I enjoy as a resident of Michigan.
Keep up the great travels!

Russ thank you so much for opening up the USA to me. I have never traveled nor been on a plane. But this. Makes my day. My husband and myself watch you. We are 68 and wish we too could go to many of these places. Thank you so much.
