The Hi Jolly Parade is hands-down one of the most unique celebrations you’ll find in the Arizona desert! Every January, the streets of Quartzsite come alive to honor the legacy of Philip Tedro—better known as Hi Jolly—the lead camel driver for the U.S. Army's experimental Camel Corps back in the 1850s. It’s a classic small-town parade with a huge desert twist, featuring everything from decorated floats and vintage vehicles to live camels marching right through town. It’s a wonderful way for the RVer community to gather, celebrate local history, and tip our hats to the "ships of the desert" that once helped blaze the trails we travel today.

My husband and I love watching and feel like we are right there in the vehicle with you! Can’t wait to travel with you more!
Russ thank you so much for opening up the USA to me. I have never traveled nor been on a plane. But this. Makes my day. My husband and myself watch you. We are 68 and wish we too could go to many of these places. Thank you so much.

Hi Russ!
You have the best travel YouTube channel around! Love it, and looking forward to 2006 adventures. Can’t travel yet due to a brand new wild puppy! So in the meantime I will keep watching and planning where to visit! Stay safe and healthy this next new year! God bless, Cindi
